For decades, small operators had two choices, pay six figures for enterprise oil & gas data, or piece it together from courthouses and state websites. Peak ETL is making oil & gas data more accessible.
Peak ETL is an oil & gas data business, 6sense HQ as a software company built Spud Wire for them to bring well, production, land and regulatory data from US state agencies into one map-first platform.

Oil & gas decisions depend on data about wells, production, ownership, and regulation. For that, the choices are expensive enterprise software or manual research.
So everyone else does it the hard way:
Landmen still research title and mineral ownership by hand, courthouse by courthouse, while newcomers face entrenched incumbents and little public engineering knowledge.
Speculators stitch production data together from state websites, each in a different format or pay for enterprise software and still build their own analytics.

We built Spud Wire for Peak ETL, a map-first platform that turns scattered public oil & gas data into usable intelligence.
UI/UX Design
Designed for landmen and speculators used to legacy tools.
ETL & Data Pipelines
Absorbs different state formats without rebuilding.
GIS Mapping
Brings well, production, land and regulatory data onto one map.
50-State Architecture
Designed to handle new state formats as they are added.
Workflow Fit
Prioritizes speed and clarity over unnecessary complexity.
Affordable
Keeps operating costs below typical enterprise software economics.
Two problems stood between Peak ETL and a working platform, with little public guidance to lean on.
Rendering thousands of map points gets expensive fast. We used an open-source approach to keep operating costs low and leave room to grow.
50 states, 50 formats, one platform. Sources vary across SFTP, scraping, Excel, CSV, fields and structures. We built an architecture that absorbs each source without rebuilding for every state.
In an industry with no playbook, very little public engineering knowledge exists for this domain. Much of what Peak ETL runs on was engineered from first principles.

“The team performed exactly as required for this project.”
Enterprise-grade and live
Built as a specialized enterprise-grade oil & gas platform, with the UI/UX and engineering depth needed to run reliably in production.
Validated early
Demoed to prospective users with positive feedback, with the first beta users lined up on live data and the product refined as requirements evolved.
Built to compete
Designed around the needs of independent operators rather than a generic SaaS template, creating an alternative to six-figure enterprise tools.

ChargeOnSite created a charger-agnostic EV charging system instead of depending on a white-label provider.
The platform supports ChargeOnSite's EV charging operations across commercial and multifamily properties.
As an EV charging infrastructure provider, ChargeOnSite needed an engineering partner to build and evolve the software behind the operation.
